Karissa B. Anderson has gained considerable experience in the family law field since joining Rosing Law in 2007. She handles a wide array of cases, focusing on matrimonial and custody matters. Ms. Anderson received her Juris Doctorate cum laude from Northern Illinois University College of Law. A member of Dean's List, Ms. Anderson was also a recipient of the Illinois Bar Foundation Scholarship. She was very active within law school, participating in the ATLA Student Trial Advocacy Competition and the NIU Moot Court Prize Competition, where she was a Quarterfinalist. She also was Vice President of the Public Interest Law Society, and Head Student Representative of PMBR NIU-COL. She earned her B.A. in Legal Studies Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During law school, Ms. Anderson served as a mediator for Zeke Giorgi Legal Clinic. She attended Winnebago County Family Court and provided mediation services to pro se parties, seeking court-ordered visitation agreements. She also interned with CASA of DuPage County, Inc., where she assisted in volunteer training sessions, researched grant opportunities, and attended and observed court proceedings.
