Joy C. Fitzgerald is an experienced family law attorney who has tried well over 100 cases to verdict. Ms. Fitzgerald received her undergraduate degree from Loyola University of Chicago, where she double-majored in Political Science and Communications. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1992. During her final year at law school, she was a member of the Chicago-Kent National Trial Advocacy Team.

After completing law school, she served three years as Assistant State's attorney. She then became an associate at Tressler, Soderstrom, Maloney & Priess in Chicago. Much of her experience working in Chicago focused on environmental coverage and insurance defense.

In 1998, Ms. Fitzgerald left to become a sole practitioner, focusing on matrimonial, criminal, real estate and traffic matters. In 2004, she joined the Rosing Law group and has focused on family law matters almost exclusively.

Ms. Fitzgerald is the Past President of the Association of Women Attorneys of Lake County (2002-2004). She continues to be a board member for the Women's Bar of Lake County. Ms. Fitzgerald is also a member of the Lake County Bar Association and Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA).
